One of my favorite Yosemite waterfalls with the smooth texture of the water flowing over the moss covered rocks. I could sit here for hours! I love capturing the flow of a waterfall with a longer exposure that brings out the silky texture of the water and rocks. The serene and tranquil waterfall cascading into a clear, still pool in Yosemite National Park. Who is going to Yosemite next?!

The lush ferns surrounding the waterfall add to the peaceful atmosphere and the crisp, cool mist rising from the falls creates a sense of tranquility. Yosemite’s smallest waterfall is often missed with lines of cars zooming into Yosemite Valley to reach the big icons. Visitors often stop at the pullout and wonder what I am looking at!

How the image was captured: This image was captured with a Nikon D810 and Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR lens at 80mm. Exposure time is .6 seconds. I normally capture a few different exposures to get different views of the textures of the water to suit my composition.
