"Along the Northern California Coastline" Big Sur Coastline near Garrapata State Park, near Monterey and Carmel California. Just a nice little spot down along the coast near Big Sur. I went down to Big Sur last weekend for some fun shooting with the Nikon D3S courtesy of BorrowLenses.com! Fun time! Nice and warm with the fog coming in. The Northern California Coastline is so picturesque. With the rugged rocks, blue water, and hills and mountains that drop off into the water, it is one of those places you can enjoy for days! Drive along highway 1 all along the Northern California coastline and stop at every pullout to take in the view! Incredible views between Big Sur and Carmel and Monterey. This image looks great above the couch or in a conference room. A recent collector did a 40" x 60" Gallery-wrap Canvas Giclee'! Fine Art Images for Collectors, Healthcare and Corporations.   • Half Dome in Yosemite at Sunrise" Half Dome looked stunning the morning I captured this. The low lying fog through Cooks Meadow with the colors in the sky. Yosemite National Park can be so amazing and different every time you visit. My favorite time is to be there in the Fall with very few people visiting. Early in the morning you can be the only person walking around. I am still hoping to pop up there in the next few weeks. Anyone else been lately?!   • "Snow and Fall Colors in the Eastern Sierra" Near Yosemite National Park and Mono Lake, California. I captured this image a few years ago just after a first snowfall with the fall colors. It started out around 90 degrees and quickly changed within a few days to get this crisp snowfall. This is located in Inyo National Forest in the Eastern Sierras outside Lee Vining. This image spoke to me as I saw the curves along the colorful treeline and the layers of hills and mountains in the background. The light dusting of snow offsets the colorful fall colors in the Aspens and pines. Don't forget to eat at the Whoa Nellie Deli for some of the most amazing food after a day of shooting! — at Yosemite National Park. Fine Art Images for Collectors, Healthcare and Corporations.   • A portion of "Above the Fog" The original panorama can be seen here: <a href="http://bit.ly/1bmDXFx">http://bit.ly/1bmDXFx</a> I love shots of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge but never had gotten the perfect shot with the Golden Gate Bridge poking through the fog. I saw the weather report at 11:30pm the evening before saying "your commute will be slow in the morning with low lying fog across the Golden Gate Bridge" I thought PERFECT! I'll head up in a few hours! I set out in the dark for the drive up to San Francisco to shoot from the Marin Headlands.<br /> <br /> The hike up the hill in the dark and the fog with too much camera gear (30 pounds!) gave me a great early morning workout! I arrived just as the sky was starting to have an amazing glow and the fog was swirling beneath the bridge. I decided to go for a longer exposure to capture the lights of the cars heading to the Golden Gate Bridge. On the right side of the photo you can see some cars heading along Conzelman Road. I just love the curves and swirling fog together with the bumps in the hillside. It only took me a month to process my image :-)<br /> <br /> The glow of the San Francisco lights, Car lights and Golden Gate Bridge and colors in the sky balanced with the greens of the hill and fog are what caught my eye. I went for a 1:2 panorama format for this which will look great above a fireplace, couch or in an executive boardroom printed 30" x 60" or larger!<br /> <br /> This a single shot from the Nikon D800, Nikon 28-70mm f/2.8 lens (28mm), 30 seconds, f/13 and ISO 200. This is processed in Lightroom 4 and post processing in Adobe Photoshop CS6. I did not bring my Singh-ray neutral density filters on this trip but used the awesome digital ND filters in LR4 - my favorite feature of LR4!<br /> <br /> It is always a crap shoot as it can be clear in the Southbay down in Sunnyvale where I live and how the fog is in San Francisco. Sometimes the fog is higher up and obscures everything and never clears! That is part of the joy, frustration and chase of great photographs - the weather and lighting will NEVER be the same!!! (but meeting cool people when you are out is another great benefit!)<br /> <br /> I'll be showing this print at my open house coming up May 11th and 12th in Sunnyvale. This fine art photograph brings me peace and serenity and you can almost hear the waterfall! Trying to capture and bring back the entire essence is so hard, but I am SO excited with this image!   • "12 Apostles at Sunset" Great Ocean Road, Victoria, Australia. The 12 Apostles has been at the top of my bucket list ever since seeing images of this amazing place! I had a business trip to Australia this summer and managed to head down the Great Ocean road (on the other side of the road!!) to capture this. I went during mid-day to scout and came back for fantastic sunset. I just 'found' my images again and finally published this one. I hope you enjoy it and add it to your list of amazing places to go!
