  • Dusk in Big Sur. A beautiful evening in Big Sur down at Julia Pfeiffer State beach. We continued shooting until it was quite dark. It is really amazing how the sensors interpret dusk as you keep shooing. For someone who really likes blue tones, this is appealing to me.

  • Pfeiffer State Beach at Sunrise. "Watching Ocean Flows" was captured at sunrise on an outing when I was shooting with Kevin McNeal - He was off playing in the big waves with his waders and I was off finding this perfect setting! The bird sat there perfectly still during the 5 second exposure! The textures in the clouds and blue and purple tones in the rock in the foreground with the water swirling around are what really excited me when I captured this! Like all of my favorite images, this is a place I want to be on a Friday afternoon. Enjoy! John
