Bavarian Sunset in the German Alps

"Bavarian Sunset in the German Alps" I managed to catch a fantastic sunset and setting while in Germany this past summer. The barns were scattered around the countryside with this lake calm and reflecting the amazing sunset and Alpenglow from the setting sun. The green grass had nice wildflowers as well which just completed this fantastic setting for me. I could have just sat here for days! I was in Europe quite a bit this past year and headed down to the German Alps in Bavaria. Definitely a must visit place in Germany and Austria! This is near Garmisch, Bayern, Germany. Make a trip to the Zugspitze (Germany's highest mountain peak) and stay at the Hotel Haus Hammersbach in Grainau. Garmisch, Bayern, Germany Captured with the Nikon D810, Nikon 24-70 f/2.8 lens at f/14. ISO 100. I always use a Gitzo carbon fiber tripod even when I travel. This used a variety of exposures and blended using techniques from Mark Metternich's fantastic tutorials on exposure blending and "Blending far Dynamic Range made easy" look them up! He has been a fantastic mentor driving my photography forward!
