"Hanalei Rainbow!" We were driving along and saw this fantastic rainbow following us near Hanalei on Kauai. We got out on a one lane bridge with cars squeezing by us. I managed to get 1 shot and the rainbow disappeared!!! It definitely looks like a little pot of gold is at the end along this creek! I did use a circular polarizer to help bring out the rainbow a little nicer!   • "Tunnels Beach" Kauai, Hawaii
  • Kauai Beach Sunset in Halalei. The ocean was calm and the clouds were high on this quiet beach near Hanalei. The colors opened up at sunset and revealed this soothing setting at sunset. A bottle of wine, some appetizers and a chair would have been the only thing else to make it better!

  • "Breaking Through the Clouds" Sunset wasn't looking like it was going to happen while over in Kauai. Here at the last moment the sun starting peering through so I focused on the clouds and captured the sunset breaking through the clouds. Please enjoy.

  • "Late Afternoon along the Na Pali Coast, Kaua'i" This was one of the things I was looking forward to in Kaua'i! Unfortunately, the weather wasn't cooperating with rain and grey skies in the forecast. I decided to push back my departure date by 2 days since the forecast was looking better and it paid off!!! (I DO love my wife and ki...ds for being SO understanding!!!) Even that morning it wasn't looking good and in the afternoon the Na Pali coast was perfect!! just a peppering of clouds and sunlight giving those contrasting greens and vibrant blue ocean being lit up by the sun. AHHH! My job was done. 2 hours and a chartered helicopter are the perfect combination! The Nikon D3S was rented from @borrowlenses and I used my Nikon 28-70 f/2.8 lens. This is going to be printed BIG on my wall!
  • "Clouds over the Blue Ocean" I thought I would see what folks thought of this and the other blue only image! I shot this from the airplane coming into the Big Island in Hawaii and just love the blue tones of the ocean below with nice definition of clouds (remember, I like clouds!) The other image is quite minimalist and might be considered TOO artsy! Let me know what you think!
  • "Hidden Tropical Paradise" I was shooting the Hibiscus flowers on the Big Island of Hawaii and this little guy landed. I almost missed him as he was just tucked in! He disappeared a quick second after capturing the photo.
