“Clearing Storm on El Capitan at Sunset” Yosemite National Park

“Clearing Storm on El Capitan at Sunset” We almost were headed to the bar with cloudy and rainy skies when I was up for the Yosemite Renaissance Gallery reception. I talked my friend into driving to the other side of Yosemite valley “just in case!” Sure enough, one blue spot lead to another and THIS was in front of us! The skies opened up with patches of blue and billowing clouds rolling around El Capitan. The sun was glowing on the top of El Cap with the snow capped cliffs highlighted. What an amazing sight!(Michael Frye has a blogpost titled "The One That Got Away") - I am sure lucky that I was there and able to get this one! Maybe my blog-post should be "The One That ALMOST got Away - but didn't!" Winter in Yosemite National Park is an amazing place!
