"Path Through the Redwoods" Prairie Creek, Redwood National Park, California. I stumbled upon this bridge in the Prairie Creek portion of Redwood National Park (I crept out while visiting the inlaws!). I had hoped to get out and take pictures before the fog broke, but the sun started beaming through the redwoods in the background. I was able to tame the light and capture this image. I love the feeling you get just walking across the bridge and the choices of the two paths to take. I am inspired to capture those places I want to be on a Friday afternoon. on April 28, 2009Thanks for the great comments!! I have realized that capturing good images in the redwoods is VERY challenging to do. Taming the light with all the strong contrast, shade and just the little bit of light that comes through can be challenging or a blessing!

on April 28, 2009I don't know how you did it, the light that is. The Avenue of the Giants (there wasn't a national park when I was there) is beautiful, but usually dark. This is a beautiful shot, beautifully "lit."
